super drunk.. more drunk than the last time. can't really think. everyone at the party thought i was tripping because i kept falling asleep. i'm standing as i write this. with my accordion on my back, and the only thing cycling through my head is to say buh instead of a period. buh. maybe that wasn't the syllable.

i met daniel. he is born in venezuela, but his parents are portuguese. he speaks fluent spanish and portuguese and english. he lives in a very nice cave. i will be staying with him there while he helps me build my cave that i found. i am truly living in a cave in the south of spain. my cave is small (i wanted to write slam) but big enough to sleep a person and store some food and water. also there is a neighbor cave right across from it with a pommegranite (apple of granada) tree and thorns for an entrance. daniel plays balkan style trumpet fairly well and also guitar. he is teaching me portuguese with chico buarque songs, and how to sight read music with balkan music in 11/8. daniel considers it a first priority to busk for a new trumpet for himself, teach each other everything, drink, and go to japan with jatosh and me.

i met Joaquin. he is a much better player than daniel. he also doesn't work and doesn't do anything but play clarinet all day. he just came back from "the east to play music". hard to say where he went. i know that period was supposed to go inside. i will not read this letter before sending it. i'm still wearing my accordion, and i'm still standing. joaquin is starting a band with edo (eduardo) and some others. joaquin does not live in a cave, but an apartment. joaquin considers it a first priority to play music constantly, also he and i will trade english lessons for sight reading.

i met bruner. he is from denmark. he speaks fluent everything. he plays the saxophone and his dream is to play rumanian songs on the saxophone and to sing rhythm and blues. he lives in his own cave, but is currently staying in a girl's cave, and has temporarily given me his cave. he and i and a mandolin player have a small rumanian combo and we play the terraces during afternoons. i've got about 40 euro saved up from just 2 days of busking with them and by myself to get extra. also i have been buying food and beer, and even lucky strikes, because they sell them here. bruner is extremely skillful, and learned all of his songs by ear, as opposed to joaquin, who learned by wrote. so he has the feeling a little more maybe. bruner considers it a first priority that i should get a suit. and also a keyboard so we can start a rhythm and blues band. also we will be busking together daily or so.

i met simon. he is the first one not involved with cave dwellers. he plays clarinet, but is just beginning. that being said, i'd say his clarinet playing is roundabout a little better than jatosh's trumpet playing when i left him, so he's pretty good, and learning quickly. he has a job, is a student, and is working as a volunteer, so he doesn't have the time of these no work no rent kids. he is from the north of france. he speaks english, french, and spanish and studies spanish and french literature. he took me to his flat and we ate crackers and drank very good tea and played chess and listenned to flamenco and spoke only in spanish. he will trade spanish lessons for music lessons. and we have a meeting tomorrow at 2, at the market. i've been kicked out of my hostel. shit...i got kicked out, i have to go. i'll tell you the rest later.
